The Nigeria Women Football League has concluded arrangements as the title sponsors of the league, proponents of the
cash out on bet9ja, to partner the KC Gaming Network.
Revealing this after meeting with the management of the organization in Lagos, the Chairman of the Nigeria Women Football League Chief Mrs) Dilichukwu Onyedinma said all the arrangements have been concluded for signing of the memoranda of understanding.
"Discussions have reached the final stage with KC Gaming Network, the owners Bet9ja to come into the League as our title sponsors for the Nigeria Women Premier League. We've been discussing with them, and there appears to be light in the end of the tunnel. We are now set to help it become public and also the Memorandum of Understanding would shortly be signed. This can be a great thing for our Women Football League, and whatever that accrues in the deal will go a very long way to lessen the load of our clubs.
"It is no gainsaying that our girls happen to be the most successful among all our national teams. They have been from inception in 1991 to the whole FIFA Women World Cup finals to date; they once played up in USA 1999 to the quarter finals. They've been in London to nearly all the Olympics except the 2012 Games. They have dominated the African scene, winning seven times to the Africa Women Championship, and the age grade teams will not be doing badly, with all the U20 girls playing in all FIFA World Cup finals since beginning in 2002 and reaching the final twice.
"These are no mean achievements, and we felt that the best thing we can do as an organization would be to support the League that's been producing these players that have been positively projecting the image of the country. This really is our little way of giving back to the society and also making sure that the girls are further empowered via the sport of football.
He further disclosed that signing of the deal will take a matter of days, after all the paper works should have been completed.
